About Me

I've been an artist all my life. I love to explore various ways to convey details in my paintings, which feels exhilaratingly infinite. My college education and professional work include both fine and commercial art, advertising, photography and graphic design.

My inspiration comes from a fascination with details - from calm tide pools to the hypnotic rush of water over rocks. I love capturing emotion such as humor in an expression. I'm equally inspired by a snail's journey as I am by a crashing wave. Communicating these moments through my paintings is a lifelong exploration.

I favor acrylics, watercolors, pencil, and pastel.  Each idea manifests in its own style and medium, but the artwork on this site is predominantly acrylic paintings on canvas.
